The SEEDA funded project that the partnership manages is designed to provide an essential link between the occupiers of business parks; local authorities and other agencies. It hopes to ensure the existing business parks are operating at their full potential and that businesses feel able to proactively improve their working environment.
A portion of the funding has been used to recruit a full time Project Manager. They operate at a strategic level across the coastal sites, gathering the collective issues identified by the various business park occupiers and taking these forward.
A Business Park Co-ordinator has also been recruited and they operate at a more local level. A gap had been identified for this role as experience gained from a Sussex Enterprise funded pilot scheme a few years ago proved the need for a dedicated resource primarily in Arun.
The Co-ordinator spends approximately 80% of their time in Arun and 20% across the remaining AIF area. There is a direct working link between the two people.
