A SLINFOLD charity worker has received an unexpected windfall from Crawley police, 30 broken bikes.
The bicycles, which are too run down to be auctioned off, were picked up around the town by police over the past ten years.
Mike Dalrymple runs a charity operation to fix up old bikes and send them off to children in Uganda.
Mr Dalrymple, known locally as 'Mike the Bike' for his charity work, said: "I've never been given so many in one go.
"As far as Crawley police station is concerned these bikes are the rubbish of the rubbish, but when I saw them I saw that everything on them is absolutely brilliant.
"We can strip all of them down and they'll go out to Uganda where youngsters
